The craft for this lesson is for the children to stamp animals onto a trunk outline and glue pictures printed from the computer of things that Abraham would have taken with him to Ur. You can print things like a blanket, old lantern, clay cook pot, water vase, tent, and a variety of animals such as cows, camels, horses, sheep, etc. The children can add stickers of the animals or you can purchase the Melissa and Doug stamp set and use washable stamps. You want to use items that Abram, Lot, Sarai and Terah would have taken on their trip. A link is below of a trunk that Ms. Kris has drawn.
Modification
You can change this activity, by purchasing at your local discount store small cardboard trunk gift boxes. The pictures can be added inside the trunks. These are usually available in the summer. We also made the clip art pictures that we printed into stickers using Xyron’s Create a Stickers. Stickers work well for little seeds.
